A fascinating journey from the Costa del Sol to Morocco, crossing the Strait to Tangier and travelling through the imperial cities of Rabat, Casablanca and Marrakech. In Rabat, highlights include the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V; in Casablanca, the imposing Hassan II Mosque. Marrakech captivates with the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia, Jemaa el-Fna square and its vibrant souks. The itinerary includes a coastal stop in Mohammedia before returning to Tangier and crossing back to Spain. A unique cultural and sensory experience that combines history, architecture and local life.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1
Tangier - Rabat - Casablanca (335 km)
The day begins early on the sunny Costa del Sol, heading down to Tarifa, the spot where Europe almost touches Africa. From there, a short but symbolic ferry crossing over the Strait of Gibraltar takes us to Moroccan soil. Tangier, the legendary white city that once seduced artists and spies, greets us with its air of mystery and its Atlantic feel.
But our route leads on to Morocco's political heart: Rabat, a serene and elegant capital where past and present live side by side in harmony. We delve into its centuries-old history at the Hassan Tower, unfinished yet majestic, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, where royalty rests amid flawless mosaics and white marble.
After a break for lunch, we continue on to the grande dame of the Atlantic coast: Casablanca, a vibrant, cosmopolitan city. Dinner and overnight stay at a quality hotel, ideal for resting after this first taste of the Maghreb.
Did you know? The Hassan Tower was designed in the 12th century to be the tallest minaret in the Islamic world, but it was left unfinished following an earthquake.

Price per person. Please enquire about supplements for joining the group if arriving outside the itinerary and for departures from other points in Andalusia. Passengers are responsible for their own travel documents. Missing ferry crossings or flights will incur additional costs, which may vary depending on the time of year. Please travel with 1 suitcase per person. Excess baggage carries an additional charge of 20€ per extra suitcase. Due to weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control, itineraries may be subject to changes or alterations in the order of the programme.
